Purpose:

The Youth Link Connection Point

Connecting Youth to Purpose, Pathways, and Possibility

The Youth Link Connection Point is ONV’s peer-powered bridge between potential and opportunity. Designed as a youth-to-youth connection platform, it creates safe, engaging spaces where young people connect with one another while intentionally linked to career pathways, mentorship, exposure experiences, and life-shaping opportunities.

Through curated experiences, industry exposure, and guided exploration, youth are introduced to worlds beyond their current environment, helping them expand their vision of what’s possible. This platform ignites curiosity, builds confidence, and helps youth discover interests, strengths, and future pathways they may have never imagined.

Session 1: YouthLink
Kickoff – Making the Connection
Saturday 5/16/2026 -
Time: 2:00pm - 3:30pm

Purpose:
Introduce youth to T.Y.C.P., establish trust, and create a welcoming, safe space.

Vibe:

Key Activities:

  • Icebreakers and connection games

  • “What Do You Need?” youth voice wall

  • Meet-the-mentors station

  • Youth Advisory Council interest sign-up

Projected Outcome:
Youth feel welcomed, heard, and connected to trusted adults and peers.

Session 3: YouthLink Empowerment Lab – Leadership, Voice & Identity
Saturday 7/11/2026 -

Purpose:
Build youth confidence, leadership skills, and self-expression.

Vibe:
Interactive • Motivational • Youth-centered

Key Activities:

  • Leadership scenarios and role-play

  • Small-group voice and identity discussions

  • Youth-led mic or expression space

  • Introduction to Youth Ambassador Program

Projected Outcome:
Youth gain confidence, leadership awareness, and pathways to leadership roles.

Wellness & Safety Night

Purpose:
Support youth mental health, emotional regulation, and violence prevention.

Vibe:
Supportive • Trauma-informed • Honest

Key Activities:

  • Mental health check-in circles

  • Stress and emotion management activities

  • Safe decision-making scenarios

  • Resource navigation and referrals

Projected Outcome:
Youth gain coping tools, emotional awareness, and trusted support connections.

Peer Connect – Youth to Youth

Strengthen peer-to-peer relationships and positive peer leadership.

  • Peer-led connection circles

  • “Real Talk” discussions (school, stress, friendships, goals)

  • Peer accountability challenges

  • Youth Ambassador sign-ups

Youth feel supported by peers and begin developing positive peer networks.

Session 4: YouthLink Entrepreneurship Lab – From Ideas to Impact

Purpose:
Introduce youth to entrepreneurship as a viable pathway for economic empowerment, leadership, and community impact.

Key Activities:

  • Idea Spark Workshop (community problem-solving)

  • Mini Business Lab (product/service concepts)

  • Money & Value Basics (pricing, saving, budgeting)

  • Pitch It! youth presentations

  • Entrepreneur & creative mentor spotlights

Projected Outcome:
Youth develop an ownership mindset and confidence in entrepreneurship as a pathway.
