Christopher Wade Riley hails from Smyrna, Delaware and has been a resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana since 2006. He is married to De’Breia (day-bree-ya) Williams-Riley and they are the proud parents of Naashon (nation) Elijah Wade and Deborah (de-bore-ah) Ann Nichelle. He is the Director of Academic Advising at Ivy Tech Community College Fort Wayne/Warsaw. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor in the English Department and First Year Experience at Ivy Tech.
Christopher has worked professionally in higher education/K-12 education since 1998 having held administrative/teaching positions at Wilberforce University, Central State University, World of Wonder Charter School and the former Indiana University Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW).

Riley holds a bachelor of arts in Mass Media Communications from Wilberforce University in Wilberforce, Ohio (1998) and a Master of Liberal Studies from Indiana University Fort Wayne-IPFW (2016). He is also an ordained minister in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and serves as pastor of New Community AME Church in LaPorte, Indiana. The AME Church is the oldest denomination founded by those of African descent. Its history in America dates back to 1787.

You may also recognize Christopher’s voice from WQSW-LP 100.5 FM where he served as an on-air personality and the host/producer of Fort Wayne Speaks from 2007-2019.
Christopher is the recipient of the 2017 Hope Award for Racial Justice by the YWCA of Northeast Indiana.
